Registration for the Tutor Track is now full. To be added to the waitlist, please email info@crla.net. Please note that if you want to take the Tutor Track, you cannot sign up for the Mentor Track and switch to the Tutor Track onsite. Attendees cannot change tracks at the training.

Registration includes participation in the Institute and all materials for sessions and workshops. Lodging and transportation are not included in the registration fee.

When registering for the Institute, you will be asked to select the Tutor Track or the Mentor Track. Please note that attendees will not be able to change their track assignment at the training. Tutor Track: This specialized track is intended for practitioners who are directly responsible for coordinating and/or directing a tutor training program at the college level. This includes individuals who recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate content and study skill tutors who provide group or individual tutoring. While the focus of this track is on directing, training and supervising college-aged “peer” tutors, it is also suitable for those whose tutoring staff include faculty tutors and/or volunteer tutors who support a college-level tutoring program. It is NOT intended for individuals who oversee Supplemental Instruction or Peer Mentoring programs. Except for several joint sessions, participants enrolled in this track will focus exclusively on content relative to tutors, tutoring programs and tutor training.

Mentor Track: This track is intended for program coordinators who train/supervise college/university mentoring programs. This includes individuals who oversee the development and implementation of mentoring initiatives such as peer academic coaches, peer mentors, classroom leaders, FYE student facilitators, TRiO, etc. Specifically, this track is designed for individuals who are new to supervising mentor programs and/or individuals who are developing new initiatives an opportunity to explore foundational principles of peer mentor programming and strategies for successful implementation. This track is NOT intended for individuals who oversee tutoring programs.
