This year’s tour will include visiting the Tutoring Center, Academic Coaching office, and the Center for Academic Planning and Exploration at the University of Minnesota. At Metro State University, attendees will visit the Writing Center and Tutoring and Testing Center. The third stop on the tour will include the Academic Success Center at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. This tour will provide attendees with a fantastic opportunity to engage with colleagues and learn about other institutional programs and services.

Then it travels through the time when it was a mushroom farm and then developed as a restaurant, casino, and gangsters' hotspot during the 1920s prohibition era. Newspapers reported an unsolved gangland murder at the casino. Take the tour to see if it is true. Some believe the caves are haunted by the murdered mobsters whose bodies were never found. Please note: Wabash Street Caves is approximately 12 miles from the Royal Sonesta. Rideshare services to and from the tour will be included.

Located just 15 minutes from Downtown Minneapolis. Attendees will head to Mall of America together (using the Minneapolis Light Rail System) where you can shop, eat, and play for as long as you like. Easily return to the hotel or the airport (luggage storage available at Mall of America) using the Minneapolis Light Rail System.
Paisley Park Experience		11/16/2024	11/16/2024	12:30 PM	4:00 PM	11/16/2024 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM The Closing Institute is the culmination of the conference where participants will visit a significant cultural and historical venue, with a unique tie to the conference theme. With this year’s institute, participants will experience innovation, influence, and advocacy in action while touring Paisley Park, the home and recording studio of the revolutionary singer, songwriter, and musician, Prince. This institute offers participants a final opportunity to extend their learning and collaborate with other attendees. As a Minneapolis native, Prince lived in various places around the city, frequented and performed at music venues, and shopped at a one-of-a-kind music store. Minneapolis helped shape Prince into the man and the artist he became, and in return, Prince forever left his mark on the city. Even as Prince’s success swept the globe, he always remained close to his roots. In this 90-minute guided tour, you will view the main floor of Paisley Park, including the studios where Prince recorded and produced some of his most famous hits. Walk through Prince’s private NPG Music Club and around the massive soundstage and concert hall where the musician rehearsed and held private events and concerts.
