About Us

CRLA (formerly WCRLA) is a group of student-oriented professionals active in the fields of reading, learning assistance, developmental education, tutoring, and peer educating at the college/adult level. CRLA is inherently diverse in membership. Its most vital function is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, methods, and information to improve student learning and support professional growth.

Members apply research in practical ways and promote innovative strategies that enhance student learning. In a spirit of community, members share their successful experiences so others may benefit.

Any individual affiliated with a public or private college or university and interested in college learning assistance, tutorial programs, reading, or developmental education is invited to join the College Reading and Learning Association.
